I have learned a variety of new skills when working on Assignment #5. The first skill I learned was what an Action Button was and how it is used. I have never used such a tool when creating a PowerPoint, so it was interesting to see how I could incorporate that into the presentation. Another skill I learned was how to add sound to my animations and transitions. I found this tool to be very a entertaining addition to my presentation. So far I enjoy the creative freeness I have for this assignment. I am also enjoying creating the questions for this assignment, as it also texts my knowledge on Disney Trivia. One thing I can tell that I am not going to enjoy is how time consuming the slide creations are going to take. However, I know it is going to turn out great and a fun experience for the people who dare to test their Disney knowledge.     If I were to become a 10th grade Intro to Law teacher I would use data collection tools for one specific reason. I would first us...

When thinking about my experience of distance learning, I would say that mine has overall been positive. Pre-COVID I did watch a lot of educational T.V. shows like Dora the Explorer that helped me continue my education outside of the classroom, which I did enjoy. Then, during COVID, it was easy to adapt to asynchronous classroom styles because of the location divide. I was able to become better at my time management skills, as I was already a very independent learner, doer, and person in general. I also enjoyed taking my own path on how I was able to retain the information. For example, when watching a video in class, the teacher controls the speed, pausing, volume, etc. However, when I was at home learning, I was able to have full control of all the electronic learning materials to aid how I learn best. This brings me to my current experience with distance learning. In college, I have had 2 online classes, both asynchronous. This has been nice for me to be able to focus on...

When working on the Web Design assignment, I acquired the new skill of building a website using Weebly. I had created websites using other platforms before, so creating a website on Weebly allowed for me to broaden my horizons in being familiar with website platforms. I used the principles of CRAP all throughout my wesbite. When relating contrast to my web design, it can be seen that the numerous background colors and types complement the text size, color, and shapes. For repetition, I repeated the same title font, size, and color for every subsection of my pages, as well as for my body text. I aligned all of my pictures, text, and graphics to the best of my ability to where everything was evenly spread out. The same sentiment goes for proximity, in regard to allowing the web design outline to help guide me on how to properly space out my sections for each page. In total, having the web design outline helped me in providing a professional and neat look for all the elements of CRA...

This URL goes straight to the Teacher's Law Symposium Conference. Each January, The Trial Lawyers Section hosts this annual conference, which is a two-day seminar to educate teachers about the legal world. This conference gives teachers tools to educate their students concerning the federal and state courts and the legislative process. https://tinyurl.com/lawsymp

I found a school website where numerous teacher pages are linked. While going through the grade levels I saw that at least 1 teacher has a website linked. However, the teacher pages did not give me much to work with. They seemed to be very short, with just an introduction to their name, subject, and grade level, with a possible inclusion of a graphic or their contact information. When comparing them to the website I am designing for Assignment #3, it seemed very relaxed, minimal, and not very informative, from a parent's perspective. However, I would like to give credit to the school for having such a user friendly way for how they presented each teacher page. Overall, I was very unimpressed with the content provided in the teacher pages.  Link to School Website        I envision myself using technology daily to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently and effectively. The first thing I would want to have as a teacher is a...

I chose the Florida Standard SC.912.TI.1.6. This standard applies towards 9-12th grade levels to be able to explain the personal impacts that technology has on our daily lives. An example of a technology that impacts our daily lives is smart watches. I, for example, have an Apple Watch, which tracks my health and also sends me notifications. This helps me see my progress at the gym, but I also tend to get distracted by the notifications on my watch, pulling me away from class, a conversation, or my focus from my outside surroundings. I do not feel prepared to implement this standard based on my current skill set because if my own technology can negatively impact my own life, how should I hold my students equally as responsible? However, I think that with having my personal experience it would allow for me to easily relate to my students about the impacts that technology has on their lives.      When looking at the resources, I chose to be a 4th grad...
